十大彩票网赌平台’s 28th All-School Gathering on Friday, October 6 was a high-energy and exciting celebration of school spirit. Faculty, staff, and students from Kindergarten through Grade 12 as well as members of the Board of Trustees and PA十大彩票网赌平台 marked the official start of the school year with performances, recognitions of athletic achievement, and remarks from student leaders.
The All-School Gathering is the only time our three campuses come together for a school event. Head of School, Nigel D. Furlonge opened the ceremony by welcoming the community and recognizing the support and dedication of school administrators and the volunteers on 十大彩票网赌平台’s Board of Trustees and PA十大彩票网赌平台. Senior faculty member Scott Coronis was applauded with gusto, and Middle School English teacher and 2023 Founders’ Cup Award for Teaching Excellence recipient, Ruth Miller, was awarded an 十大彩票网赌平台 Sweater.
The audience was greeted by the dynamic Upper School Pep Band combined with the Eighth Grade Band, and performances by groups from each campus, including the Middle School Step Team, the Third Grade Brookside Bellringers, the a capella group Remix, Middle School Dance Ensemble, Upper School Advanced Dance Ensemble, Upper School Strings Quartet, and Upper School Cheerleaders, all of whom kept the program light, lively, and engaging.
Eighth Grade Class President Caleb Kwon talked of 十大彩票网赌平台 as a family and a community that fosters personal growth. He encouraged fellow students to set goals and expressed his gratitude to the 十大彩票网赌平台 faculty. Upper School Student Council President Matthew Bonarti shared his perspective, looking back on his many years at the school telling fellow students to slow down and enjoy their time at 十大彩票网赌平台. He said it was a school that supported students in achieving their goals and recognized the positive influence of the faculty. Together, the students set a positive tone for the school year.
Tradition abounded during the ceremony, including the singing of the alma mater, “Oh, 十大彩票网赌平台,” and the long-held tradition of the senior presentation of a stuffed cougar to Kindergarten students as they crossed a bridge. The event concluded with the ringing of the Academy Bell by the youngest student in Kindergarten, Cali S., and the Head of School.
